The Weekly Pickens
The Weekly PickensAugust 5, 2008 Hello from the Pickens Plan! First, an announcement: The second T. Boone Town Hall is happening this Wednesday, August 6, at Elks Lodge No. 1319 in Lamar, Colorado. Like last week’s town hall in Topeka, Kansas, this is a free, open-to-the-public event, so if you live in the area come on by. Doors open at 11:30 am; T. Boone takes the stage at noon. You can find more info here. If you don’t happen to live in Colorado, keep an eye on the Pickens Plan blog, The Daily Pickens, for video of the event as soon as it’s available. We’ll also have word of future town halls around the country. Also on PickensPlan.com… Two new videos have been posted this week. The first is our new national TV ad, which started running last weekend. You can view that here. The second is another message from T. Boone, where he talks about meeting with Google and Warren Buffett, and issues a challenge for supporters to spread word of the Pickens Plan to five of their friends. You can view T. Boone’s latest video message here. IN OTHER NEWS… T. Boone was interviewed by Deborah Solomon for last week’s New York Times Sunday Magazine. You can read it for yourself here. On Monday, Senator Barack Obama outlined his energy policy in a speech, mentioning T. Boone Pickens and the Pickens Plan in the process. Sen. Obama’s speech can be found here. T. Boone’s response can be found here. Finally, T. Boone appeared on CNN’s Larry King Live on Monday night to talk about America’s energy crisis and the Pickens Plan for energy independence. You can watch a replay of the interview by clicking here. Thank you for your continued support of the Pickens Plan. —Team Pickens |
